moderately active
The practice includes breathing techniques, weight bearing poses (hands and knees and/or downward dog), and a few standing poses.
PRENATAL: This practice was not intended for those pregnant but can be adjusted or modified. It is recommended not to lie flat on the back after 20 weeks.
Other modifications: This practice includes weight bearing in the hands, which can be modified by coming onto the elbows, or practicing cat/cow and downward dog at the wall. For more modifications, please see the Yoga for EveryBODY series.
A NOTE ON TRAUMA: I am not a ‘trauma-informed’ teacher. I am an anti-racist organizer and yoga teacher who is sharing my healing journey and who believes in making healing accessible to all.
LANGUAGE: In this practice, I refer to “we” and “us” as a form of community, and I refer to “you” as an acknowledgement of your presence. It is not meant to infer that you will be or should be doing any particular action with your body, so please disregard what doesn’t feel applicable to you.
